Erik Porter is the Co-Founder and CTO of Aligre. With over 28 years in software development and management, including over 7 years at Microsoft and experience founding and scaling other startups, Erik brings deep technical expertise and measured belief in a world where technology still serves people. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, Erik was building software for his family’s boat manufacturing business, Formula Boats, since the late 1990s. That early exposure shaped his business acumen, along with a belief that technology should be a tool for clarity and empowerment - not complexity. At Aligre, he focuses on building privacy first, intuitive, scalable systems that give consumers real-time insight into their financial position and future possibilities. Erik is driven by the idea that better information, delivered thoughtfully, can help people make some of the biggest decisions of their lives with more confidence and less stress.
